1.         CHURCH COUNCIL/ENGLISH MINISTRY MEETINGS

            The Church Council meeting will be held on Thur, 16 Sept 10, Bolm Hall, 7.30 pm followed immediately by English Ministry meeting.

2.         ADOPT A PEOPLE GROUP                              

In celebrating the inaugural launch of the “Adopt a People Group” campaign, we kick off this campaign at the Parish Hall today. Join us today as we share with you the five unreached people groups that our missionaries are reaching out to.  Take up an adoption by simply committing to pray for an unreached people group from now till the end of the year. Being an intercessor for an unreached people group is an important role in missions. Your prayers for the unreached will help our missionaries advance in their ministry work. Who says missions is only about going? It is also about praying!

Please adjourn over to the PARISH HALL after service immediately for the launch with food and drinks! All are welcome!

3.         Sunday School Children’s Day Celebration

 – The Ultimate Family Race

Pls register with Mabel Wong at the foyer and the deadline is 19 September.

Venue:                          Commonwealth Running Track

                                   (Old New Town Primary School)

Date/Time:                    2^nd October 2010 (Sat)/ 9am – 12noon 

Registration Fee:           $3 per person (Lunch is provided in church)

Purpose:                       A time of fun and family bonding with parents and their children.

Requirements:               All parents MUST join in the race with their children!

4.         LCCS Charity Golf Tournament & Gala Dinner

- FriDAY 19th November 2010

Lutheran Community Care Services Ltd (LCCS) is an approved IPC charity.  All donations will be issued tax exempt receipt.  Those interested, please see Desmond Wong, David Chew or Sng Hee Meng for further details. Registration deadline:  30th September 2010.

Venue:   Orchid Country Club (12pm)

 Peach Garden Chinese Restaurant (7.30pm).

Ways you can participate:

1.         Be a corporate sponsor;

2.         Advertise in the souvenir magazine;

3.         Bid for items at the charity auction at the Gala Dinner;

4.         Make a donation in cash;

5.         Participate in the Charity Golf tournament at $2,400 per flight or $600 per golfer (inclusive of lunch and dinner);

6.         Buy a table at $3,000, or $300 per individual

5.         Cambodia Night @ QLC Sanctuary 17 Sept (Friday), 8 - 9.30pm

Enjoy an evening of fellowship and latest updates about our own Lutheran Church in Cambodia. Meet past mission trippers from the whole LCS family and enjoy fellowship with Ps Daniel Orn (Cambodia) and his family. It’s time to renew our commitment for “Love Cambodia“.    Past QLC trippers and those who would like to know more are welcome!
